Summer Fireworks Rose, a remarkable shrub rose variety in China bred by Jiang Zhengzhi, showcases salmon pink blossoms that fade slightly when the temperature is high. Standing around 1.5 to 2 meters tall, it blooms frequently with a faint tea fragrance. Having “Woman’s Legacy” as the mother plant and “Brown Velvet” as the father plant, it inherits the round bun-shaped flower form from its mother and a combined color from both parents. In summer, its flowers remain plump though the color lightens a bit. This plant grows rapidly, has good branching, is tolerant to pruning, has shiny leaves and is robust. With sufficient fertilizers and water provided, it seldom gets sick. It blooms in clusters with over ten flowers on one branch. A single flower lasts for 3 to 4 days.
