Unveiled in 2023 by the celebrated Chinese rose breeder Jiang Zhengzhi of Tianlang Roses, Ronyan Rose lives up to its vivid name with blooms that glow like smoldering lava. A compact shrub rose perfect for patios, borders, or container gardens, it delivers eye-catching color shifts and long-lasting flowers that turn any small space into a focal point.
Mature plants reach a neat height of 80 centimeters, forming a well-branched, bushy silhouette that stays tidy without heavy pruning. Its compact size makes it ideal for urban gardens, balcony planters, or mixed flower beds, where its bold blooms can shine without overpowering neighboring plants.
The flowers are a showstopper, measuring 8–10 centimeters across and boasting dramatic seasonal transformations. In spring and autumn, they burst forth in a deep crimson hue with a striking black sheen, adorned with unique irregular dark-red “blood spots” that add an edgy, exotic charm. When summer heat arrives, the blooms shift to a clean, vibrant watermelon pink, losing the spots but retaining their stunning form. From tight, high-centered cups to plump, rounded buds, the flowers feature thick, substantial petals with ruffled, wavy edges that add texture and depth to every bloom.
