Rosé de Lune Rose (Delun/Moon Festoon) – Masuda Rose Garden Japan (2020 Release)Launched in 2020 by Shintaro Masuda from Japan’s Masuda Rose Garden, Rosé de Lune Rose possesses a poetic charm that shines through its color transition and rich fragrance. It is also translated as “Delun” or “Moon Festoon” by many nursery merchants, with its Japanese name being ロゼドリュヌ.
Standing at 110cm tall, this rose variety is a wonderful blend of grace and uniqueness. Each bloom has a diameter of about 6cm. Its flower buds are tightly wrapped, boasting a lovely cherry hue with a light red center. As it blooms gradually, the flower shape becomes flatter and flatter, and the color fades into an extremely pale champagne shade, which brings a sense of gentle transformation like the changing moonlight. What makes it more distinctive is its intense myrrh fragrance—a deep and mysterious scent that sets it apart from ordinary rose varieties.
